Thankful for the Priesthood!
That past few months I sure have had a couple of experience that have definitely made me very thankful to have the Priesthood in my life. Back in October my dad ended up having another heart attack. He had open heart surgery and had 6 by passes and a valve repaired. It was a very hard time for me. I was thankful to have the comfort in knowing my dad had a Priesthood Blessing and that I know the Lord was watching out for him and my family. It's been six months since his heart attack and he is doing great. I'm thankful the Lord has blessed me with my dad and that I will get to have him around for another 30+ years with him. :) The other reason why I have been so Thankful for the priesthood is because on January 6th my niece was born. After the first day of being born she wasn't eating. They couldn't figure out what was going on. The next night my brother asked Jason to come to the hospital to give her a Priesthood Blessing. Her next feeding after the blessing she had started to eat. I knew it was because of the Blessing she had received. The priesthood is one of the greatest gifts the Lord has given us and I am so thankful to have it in my home and for it being in my life. Without it I don't know if things would have turn out the same. I'm so lucky to know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and is always there helping me along the way and for the ability to have people on this earth be able to act on his name.
