Florida!

This Summer I got to go to Florida for the very first time. Jason's family went and it was a lot of fun. We spent two weeks in Florida. We went to Universal Studio's, Seaworld, Clear Water, Disney World, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Beach and Daytona Speed Way. This was the farthest I have ever been and longest I have been away from home.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for the first few days and got to spend our time at Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. I'm not much of a roller coaster person, so Busch Gardens wasn't one of my favorite places. We went to eat at Emeralds the first night we were there. The most fanciest restaurant I have ever been in. I had a blast at Seaworld, especially getting to see all the sea animals. One of my favorite things I did at Universal Studio's was when we went to the Blues Brothers show and I got to dance with them. I got it on camera and Jason's dad Jon and I sure did look stupid, but we had a lot of fun. Once I finally get the video loaded on my computer I will upload it. The picture below is the only picture I got with my camera. I dropped my camera the first day we got to Florida waiting in line to get our tickets. Way to go me.
This picture below is us standing outside by Dudley Due Rights water ride. That was probably my favorite ride in Island of Adventure. However I did enjoy the Bildge Raps Bargers ( It's like rattle snake rapids, only better, but I'm not sure if it is the right name) and the Jurassic Park ride.
This picture was taken at Clear Water. It was raining the first day we got there and had to wait til it quite raining to go swiming. It was the first time I had ever been to the ocean. (however this was in the Gulf, first time there too) This picture was taken of the sunset the second night we were there.

Next we moved onto Disney World, we spent the majority of the trip there. We went to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Typhoon Lagoon, Animal Kingdom and MGM. I got to get my picture taken with lots of the princess and fairies. Got to see the ligth parade at night and the fireworks on the fourth of July at Epcot. The next night we went and saw the ligth show at MGM, which was amazing. I thought it was way better than the fireworks. The picture below is ducks hanging outside our hotel room. I would feed them with Cheetos, Jason and his family didn't like that I kept feeding them to keep them around because they kept trying to come in our room, but I had fun.

This picture here is where Jon and I was learning how to dance. Jon and I were the only two who got into everything. The rest of the group got to enjoy the show by watching.

This picture here is with Tinkerbell. I was going around getting my picture's taken with the princesses and fairies along with their autographs for Tacie. Tinkerbell insisted Jason be in the picture, doesn't he look fabulous.
Here is a picture of us at Epcot with Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. He liked my flowers I had in my hair.
After Disney we went to Kennedy Space Center. I really enjoyed it. I love the whole thought about space. I love going and looking at the stars and the moon and I always get a warm fuzzy feeling when I go lay under the stars. So going to Kennedy was really great for me. I also had a really fun experience leaving my phone at the first stop in the bathroom and realizing I left it there at the second stop which was twenty minutes away. Needless to say it was in the lost and found when we made it back to the main area. The picture below is of the Flay that they have on NASA. It doesn't look that big, but east star on the flay is six feet long. Now that's a big flag. After Kennedy we went to Daytona Beach to finish off our vacation. So in reality this was the first time in the ocean because Clear Water was at the Gulf. Daytona's Beach sand was a lot softer, the water was a little warmer and clear, but it was more crowed.
We went and took a look at Daytona's speed way while we were there. We would have done a real tour, but didn't seem worth it because they were remodeling the race track.

All in all it was a great trip, first time on a plane for four hours, first time getting to see the Gulf of Mexico and the Ocean. First time going to Disneyland, Universal Studio's and basically everything else we did there. Will definitely go back, even if it is to just go sit on the beach. Think that was my favorite thing.

Yellowstone!

So the week after my brothers wedding we went up to Yellowstone for Memorial Day Weekend. It was so much fun, even if it did snow on us most of the time. We camped at Norris camp ground and spent most of our time in Lamar Valley looking for wild life. Was a little disappointed that Dun raven pass was closed all weekend because of the weather. (Although I think it was closed for some other reason like bear activity or something and they were using the weather as an excuse.) We took a nice hike to Grizzly Lake, which was really gorgeous . When we got to the lake we ate our lunch, but had to make it short. It started to snow really hard on us. About 30 mins after leaving the lake the weather quit and the rest of the day was great. We saw 3 black bears, 3 grizzlies, a few coyotes, moose and lots of buffalo. I love Yellowstone and wish I could live there. Here a few pictures from our trip.
Here is one of the Black Bears we saw on our way into Lamar Valley

Here is a picture of Grizzly Lake before the snow came.

Jason and I on our way to Grizzly Lake, Look there's still snow on the ground. In some spots the snow was probably up to my knees.

This was when we were putting up the tent. Look at it snow on us. What fun times!

A Picture of Lewis Lake, it was still frozen over. Last year at this time there was no snow or ice.

Wedding

So on May 22nd we had a new addition to my family. My brother Shane got married. I got the privilege of making his wedding cake. Now Shane made a cake for my wedding which was quite awesome. So I had to hold up my end and make him a pretty awesome cake. He is really into legos, so I decided to make him a lego cake. It was the first time I made a cake with fondant. If I make another cake with fondant I will definitely pick a different receipe. The one I used called for crisco, made it a little shiny and when it got warm started to droop. But here a few pictures of the cake. Once I get a copy of the wedding pictures I will post some of the wedding.

This is a close up of the big lego

This is what the whole cake looked like finished

Since December til now!!!!!

Ok so in January I got a little daring and decided to cut my hair. I cut about 5 - 6 inches off. It is the shortest I have had it in the longest time. I decided to do it because my hair was in layers and I wanted to get it all back to one lenght. Well needless to say it has been 3 months since I cut my hair and it still looks the same and I can't really figure it out. Normally my hair grows really fast and by now it would be back to the lenght it was when I cut it or pretty close. But it's not. It looks like it has only grown an half an inch. It's really starting to tick me off. The only thing I can think of is for Christmas i got a hair straighener and I have used it a few times, but not a whole lot. But I think I killed my hair. Sad!!! I want my long hair back.
Happy Birthday to me!
So for my birthday I really didn't want to go to work, but Jason made me go. But I guess in the end it was worth it. Because he had arranged for flowers to be deliver to me at work. He is so sweet. It just really made my day. Aren't they pretty?

Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!
So for Christmas Jason and I wanted a TV so we were determined we would get it for Christmas. All the money we got from people we just saved and put it towards our TV fund. But we didn't quite have enough and we didn't want to put anything on a credit card so we waited. My birthday was only a few weeks after Christmas and so we decided we would put all the money I got from my birthday into the TV fund as well. So once we got the money we went to get the TV we wanted, but they were all out. Needless to say at the end of January we finally got our TV, just in time for the Super Bowl. It is way nice, I actually enjoy being able to read the words on the screen. And if your wondering where I got this amazing TV, I got it at Lynns Audio and Video the best place in town. :)

Merry Christmas!
So for Christmas Jason made me a sign that says "Families can be together forever" and I love it. So I had told him that I wanted a sign for Christmas, and he was making me something. But when we opened our presents on Christmas Eve there was not sign. I was slightly disappointed. We had went over to Jason parents house after we had opened our presents for a little bit before my family Christmas party. While we were at his parents house Jason and his dad had to go to Macey to pick up the meat for the dinner on Christmas day. But they were there for an hour. I couldn't believe it had taken them that long to go an pick up meat. (might I add a half hour after they had left Maceys called and wanted to know if they remembered the meat. So I wondered what the heck they were doing) When they got back and we were getting ready to leave to go to our Christmas Party Jason said he forgot something and we had to go home and get it. So I was going to just stay in the truck while he went and got it, but then he turned it off and took the keys with him. So I was like well I guess I will go inside instead of wait out in the cold. So I went inside and what was hanging on my wall. The sign I had wanted, and he had even made me some picture frames that match it. I loved it, I even got a little teary eyed. I have the best husband ever. And I truly am grateful that Families can be together forever!

This is a close up of just the sign and the one below is with one of the frames he made.
