So it was our three year anniversary. I knew it was coming but I didn't know when. We had went to Park City and Salt Lake to do a little shopping and to have dinner. So we ate a Ruby Rivers, the first time I have ever ate there. (After he proposed I got mad at him because he didn't take me to my favorite resturant on the night we got engaged.:) But it was still good.) And then we had went to Temple Square to look at the lights. We ended up driving around for about 45 mins. trying to find a parking spot. So we finally found a spot and it was around 9:00 pm. We walked around the Temple and then went to go into the Joseph Smith build. But it ended up being locked. Which ruined is oringal plan. He wanted to ask me up at the top of the building over looking the lights and the Temple. (But that's one thing I love about him, everything he plans doesn't always work out the way he had planned, but always turn out good) So we walked a round the Joseph Smith building and looked at all those lights and then he stop and was doing something. When I asked him what he was doind he said he was just adjusting his coat. Then he pulled out a present that looked like a book or a movie. So I opened it up and it was a journal with the pictures of Christ on it. I said to him, "you know I already have one of these" He said "I know, but I wrote something in this one" So I opened it and read the poem.
--------------Our love is like a flower,
--------------Amazing when in bloomed!
--------------Each petal another day,
--------------Another adventure, another smile!
--------------But unlike that flower,
--------------Our petals will never fall.
--------------Our love will stay the same.
--------------Unchanged, 'til the end of it all!
--------------So knowing that we will always be,
--------------together for all Eternity.
--------------That leaves only one quesiton to ask...
Then you turn the page and it says "Will You Marry Me?" With a ring shape cut out of the book and an ring in it. It was a 10 dollar ring from walmart, because we didn't have my ring. Which I got the next day when I got to his house. He was down stairs and when I got to the bottom of the stair and turned the corner, he was there on one knee with the ring. It was so cute.
